The month of June brought about the release of the National Core Arts Standards. These standards are a revision of the 1994 National Standards for Arts Education. This initiative was launched by the National Coalition for Core Arts Standards, a union of leading national arts education organizations. These standards, the coalitions feels, will significantly move the field of arts education forward.
Providence is very excited about this endeavor and appreciates the progress that has been made for arts education.
